Terms of Use & Disclaimer
Please read this before uploading a book. In short: Verseversa is a tool, translations are AI-generated and provided “as is”, and responsibility for the rights to a translated work rests with the user.

Verseversa is a tool, not a translator
Verseversa provides automated, AI-assisted translation software. It is a tool — not a publisher, a translation agency, a translator-for-hire, or a rights holder. Verseversa does not select, review, edit, endorse, or verify the works submitted to it or the translations the software produces. The user operates the tool, and the resulting translation is the user’s own work product.
-
Private, user-directed processing — nothing is published
Every translation is produced automatically, on the individual instruction of a single user, and is delivered exclusively to that user. Verseversa does not publish, distribute, share, index, or otherwise make user-submitted works or their translations available to the public or to any third party. There is no public library, feed, or catalogue of user content, and no other user can access it. Verseversa therefore does not perform any act of communication or making available to the public and is not an online content-sharing service; it is a private, technical processing facility comparable to a personal tool.
-
The user is the translator and acts at their own risk
Within the Verseversa workflow the translation is performed by the user, not by Verseversa. The user determines what is uploaded, which language and tier are applied, and how the result is used. Use of the service, and any reliance on its output, is at the user’s sole risk and discretion.
-
Output is AI-generated and provided “as is”
Translations are generated by machine-learning models and provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Automated translation may contain errors, omissions, mistranslations, or formatting artefacts. Any translation should be reviewed, verified, and edited before it is relied upon, shared, or published. The output is not a substitute for professional human translation where one is required.
-
Responsibility for rights in the work
By uploading a work, the user represents and warrants that they hold the necessary rights or are otherwise legally authorised to reproduce and translate it — for example because the work is in the public domain, because the user owns the rights, because the rights holder has consented, or because a statutory exception (such as private use in the user’s jurisdiction) applies. This confirmation is given actively, for each upload, via a mandatory checkbox, and the time of acceptance is recorded. Responsibility for compliance with copyright, licensing, moral rights, and all other applicable laws rests entirely and exclusively with the user. Verseversa has no knowledge of, and no practical or legal ability to verify, the rights status of works submitted to an automated system, and does not monitor user content. Material that the user is not permitted to translate must not be uploaded.
-
Notice and takedown — rights holders
Verseversa respects the rights of authors and publishers. If you are a rights holder, or an agent of one, and believe that a work has been submitted to the service in violation of your rights, notify us at hello@verseversa.com with (a) identification of the work, (b) evidence of your rights, and (c) your contact details. Upon receipt of a sufficiently substantiated notice Verseversa will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material in question — noting that, in the ordinary course, all uploaded files and outputs are already deleted automatically within a short retention window. Accounts that repeatedly submit infringing material may be suspended or terminated.
-
Ownership of content and output
As between the user and Verseversa, the user retains all rights to the source text and to the translation generated from it; Verseversa claims no ownership of either. Depending on the jurisdiction, AI-generated text may carry limited or no copyright protection, and Verseversa makes no representation as to the copyright status of any output.
-
Privacy, security and automatic deletion
Files are encrypted in transit and at rest and isolated per translation job. No human reads uploaded works in the ordinary course of operation. Uploaded source files are deleted automatically no later than 30 days after upload; generated translations are retained for up to 90 days solely so that the user can download them, and are then permanently deleted. Verseversa never uses uploaded content to train AI models. During translation, text fragments are transiently processed by third-party AI model providers acting as processors; Verseversa selects configurations intended to exclude the use of customer data for model training.
-
Acceptable use
The service may not be used to process material that is unlawful, infringing, or otherwise unauthorised, nor to misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform. Verseversa may suspend or decline any processing it reasonably believes violates these terms or applicable law.
-
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verseversa and its affiliates, suppliers, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to use of — or inability to use — the service or any translation it produces, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, total aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the translation giving rise to the claim.
-
Indemnification
The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Verseversa and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the works uploaded, the use of the output, or any breach of these terms or of third-party rights.
-
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service or the law. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
-
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force, and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects its intent. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and Verseversa regarding the service and are governed by the law of the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
